About us
'Jimee Rai Development Society' is a non-profitable organisation formed a decade ago in Kathmandu in the efforts of some honorable Rai personalities of Solukhumbu district. It aims to uphold and develop the social and cultural ethos of the Rai community of Solukhumbu district and to provide, where possible, financial assistance to those who are in genuine need.
Over the past 10 years the organisation has done so much to help the community. Those of us who have come to the United Kingdom from the Solukhumbu district have a morale responsibility to support the organisation to the best of our capability, for which our unity abroad is paramount. Thus, a branch organisation of Jimee Rai Development Society (JUS) (UK) was formed in January 2009.
